We have added De Longhi espresso machines to our properties. In response to guest feed back, we decided that it was time to go beyond cafetière coffee and in to café quality. Don't worry if you prefer a cafetiere we will continue to provide them!

Coffee is hugely personal, so please bring your favourite with you, but if you want to experiment there are great places to source coffee locally.

Out first suggestion is Two Chimps at Ashwell, who not only roast in Rutland but also run some fabulous experiences which are bookable in advance, and could be a really special addition to your holiday. Their website is www.twochimpscoffee.com

Baines Bakery in Uppingham have a lovely "Baines blend" which you can try by the cup as a takeaway or buy in bags. I also highly recommend their Florentines which are the perfect accompaniment to a cup of coffee. For those less inclined towards fruit and nuts, they have a wonderful range of traditional home made cakes, buns and tarts.

Otters Deli in Oakham is also a great destination for anyone who loves food, with their own smoke house as well as fabulous cheeses, and a café. Both Otters and Baines are wheelchair accessible.
