Why accessible accommodation?

As a family we have seen lives shaped and changed by disability, both in childhood and later years. We have managed wheelchairs, catheters, colostomies, TPN and feeding tubes, and we know that every person has different needs. We also know that small thoughtful details can make a huge difference to the ability to enjoy proper family time on holiday.

When we converted the Castle Chase barns we made a clear decision to design accessibility from the very beginning. We wanted to create accessible holiday cottages in Rutland that feel calm, comfortable and easy to use for anyone who needs a little more support. Whether it is extra sockets, wide doors, level thresholds or roll under kitchen space, our aim is to make Castle Chase a place where you can relax and enjoy your stay without worry.
