Discover The Tack Room

A thoughtful conversion with a sense of place

Just like The Old Stables next door, The Tack Room has been recently converted. We’ve kept the quirkiness, detailing and heritage of its roots as a working equestrian building, while integrating modern materials, technology and comforts.

Quality materials and contemporary features

Slate, glass and oak sit alongside LED lighting, underfloor heating, superfast broadband, HD TV and a wood burner, creating a stylish blend of old and new.

The living area is designed for comfort, with a welcoming wood burner that makes the space feel instantly snug and relaxing — perfect for slow mornings or peaceful evenings.

A sleek, well‑equipped kitchen

The kitchen offers everything you need to conjure up fabulous meals, with a clean, accesible, modern layout that makes self‑catering easy and enjoyable.

The open‑plan dining and lounge area flows naturally, making the space simple to live in whether you’re staying for a weekend or settling in for a longer break.

Practical features for guests with mobility needs

The Tack Room has been cleverly designed to support guests with mobility requirements. Features include a roll‑under sink and hob, slide‑and‑hide oven, and level access from the parking area and throughout the cottage.

For a fuller overview of step‑free access, bathroom layouts and mobility‑friendly features across all our cottages, please visit our accessibility page.

Step‑free outdoor space

This ease continues outside, where you can sit on the patio with uninterrupted countryside views — and your only neighbour might be a nosey cow.

Countryside views and quiet moments

The patio offers a calm, open outlook across the fields, making it an ideal spot for morning coffee, evening sunsets or simply enjoying the stillness of rural Rutland.

Parking and EV charging

The Tack Room has private off‑road parking for two cars and an electric car charging point for your exclusive use. Electricity is supplied via the Tap app, so you only pay for what you use.
