A beautiful cottage for six people set in rolling Rutland countryside
The living area is interconnected, airy and adaptable, with the kitchen, dining and lounge space flowing naturally into one another. You can eat around a gorgeous handmade oak table in the dining area, or curl up on our English made sofas and enjoy the calm of this relaxed rural cottage in the Rutland countryside.
In the kitchen you will find every premium feature you would expect in high quality self catering accommodation, including a dishwasher, a Neff hide and slide oven and a roll under ceramic hob which supports guests who need accessible cooking space.
High quality materials have been used everywhere. A palette of slate, oak, glass and warm wood runs throughout the cottage to keep it warm in winter and cool in summer, adding to the sense of comfort that guests look for in accessible holiday cottages in Rutland.
Bespoke Clarke and Clarke curtains, artisan Scottish linen and Farrow and Ball colours complete the look and give the cottage a gentle, timeless feel.
At night, three double bedrooms, one with an ensuite bathroom, offer either an adjustable king size or super king size bed. The bathrooms have walk in showers and Hewi fittings, making them practical for guests who need wheelchair friendly or easy access features without compromising on style.
High speed wifi, LED lighting, lamps with USBs in the bedrooms and a smart TV in the lounge ensure that while The Old Stables sits in an ancient landscape, it offers visitors the latest technology and the comfort expected from modern rural accommodation.
Outside, you can relax in the enclosed wild woodland garden on a patio planted with herbs, and cook on the barbecue next to the outdoor table and chairs. If you have been out exploring the countryside, there is a boot and dog wash tap ready for muddy wellies and pets, which is especially helpful for guests looking for dog friendly holiday cottages in Rutland.
Situated in a beautiful rural location, The Old Stables has been renovated so it sits lightly in its landscape. An air source heat pump, solar panels, a wood burner with logs sourced from the farm and underfloor heating all help ensure a low impact, sustainable stay.
The Stables has plenty of private off road parking for three cars and an electric vehicle charging point, which can be accessed via the Tap app. EV charger instructions and pricing
