We want your stay at Castle Chase cottages to be fabulous, we believe that good sleep is the investment in making tomorrow a good day. For that reason when we put the cottages together we built in as much as we could to give you the most restful nights possible.

Starting with the structure of the building we put in sound insulated plaster board in to the internal bedroom walls, matched them with double glazed windows and oak doors to minimise sound interruption. All of the windows have super thick black out lined and insulated curtains, the west aspect of the bedrooms means that the morning sun pours in to the hallways and living areas.

The underfloor heating is controlled room by room, so that those of us who “run a little warm” can set bedroom thermostats lower to ensure that just right temperature, whilst having a lovely warm bathroom. In the summer we supply a fan per bedroom to keep things cooler.

The beds are all British made, with Emma mattresses, and 100% cotton linen, because the cottages are wonderfully warm, we supply 4.5 tog duvets, with extra blankets in each room for those who like to be a bit cosier. All the mattresses have double protectors, a standard zip on one, and an over-the-top quilted protector to help with that all important air circulation. All the beds have over 20cm clearance underneath to accommodate mobile hoists for any guests who may need extra assistance.

Our pillows are hotel quality microfibre to give a great compromise between feather and synthetic, so there is always a cool side for you.

Most of our beds are super king sized to allow for a full stretch out experience, but they can also be made up as twins. We have an electric adjustable bed in the Blue Bedroom in The Old Stables to help those who are less mobile. We have had wonderful feedback on it from other customers who just love the luxury of it for reading in bed!
