Local, dry aged beef reared to the highest standards, free range eggs fresh from the our small mixed flock of hens and bread from the farm house kitchen.
We work in all weathers, and are mindful of our environmental footprint, so are doing all we can to mitigate our impact on the climate while producing amazing and wholesome food.
At every stage we are working towards a circular system, which means the majority of the feed our cattle get is home-grown grass and clover, while the barley and oats their diet are also grown on the farm by us to ensure it is both high quality and low impact.
Our cattle are bred to produce meat with a low carbon intensity. They grow quickly on our clover rich diverse pasture, because they are bred to turn the high protein plants into fabulous quality meat with just the right amount of fat for great flavour.
Did you know that the carbon footprint of beef produced here in the UK is half of the global average?
As farmers we see the impact of climate change in technicolour every season, so we really strive to keep our impact as low as possible.
We are passionate about what we do so are always happy to show the cattle to our customers, we are a working farm and use lots of machines so for your safety and ours please don't help yourself, do email us to make an appointment, and we will be happy to tell you much more about what we do and why.
Castle Chase Beef is not just about the production, it is also about the eating! The best food starts with the best ingredients. We offer our beef frozen as a fabulously tasty ingredient for you, but as busy people ourselves we absolutely understand that sometimes honest, tasty local food also needs to be ready when you need it. So we also offer a curated range of breads handmade in the farmhouse kitchen, and some delicious home made cakes.
We are all about supplying the local community, so we don't send anything out by mail order, we are happy to offer a click and collect service from the farm, and supply direct in to the fridges and freezers of guests in our holiday cottages. If you are staying in the holiday cottages please order either via our shop or our guest portal but not both.
